Acid reflux on its own can bring pain to your life, but also you can have back pain with it. People who have both these problems together, can feel stresses over how these two at the same time can make life un-comfortable. There are solutions for acid reflux and back pain.

Your Options

One of the simple treatments for reliving the pain of acid reflux and the back pain that sometimes comes with it, is simple household liquid, vinegar. Try adding a tablespoon of vinegar to your diet, best taken in the morning and , in most cases, will slow the production of acid in your stomach.

Apple cider vinegar can replace regular vinegar, which would taste a little better. You should take a tablespoon of it before each meal. You should begin to notice results within a few weeks, sometimes a few days. It is important that you keep taking the vinegar on a daily basis however, even after you feel an improvement, otherwise your pain will most likely return.

Another effective idea is to combine antacids and low level pain medication. Antacids will slow the acid reflux while the pain medication will work on the back pain. Antacids are such a mild form of medicine they can be taken safely in with medication such as regular back pain pills.

There are multiple over the counter and prescription drugs that are available for back pain. Acetaminophen anti-inflammatory drugs are the most commonly used, and can begin to show results in a few days.

Narcotic pain medications and muscle relaxants may also be used, but these should not ever be considered as a long-term solution. Sometimes if used for a long time they may actually end up making the condition worse.

Anyone looking to find relief from acid reflux and back pain should stay open to ideas, knowing that there are many solutions available. It is also important to not self treat, because only a medical professional will be able to diagnose your condition choose a specific treatment. You also should stay in contact with them after, allowing time for treatment to take effect, so they can make sure that your condition is improving.
