Hemorrhoids or piles infection can be caused due to various reasons like aging, pregnancy, constipation, diarrhea, strainful bowel movements, obesity and might be genetic and mainly the lifestyle of a person. Usually hemorrhoids are caused due to increased pressure in the veins of the rectum that forces blood to widen the walls or damage them and in some this may cause due to the hereditary weakness in the walls of the veins in the anal region.
The most common factors that cause hemorrhoids are:
Inadequate physical activities – Most of the people are supposed to sit or stand for long duration based on the nature of their work and in such situation the entire blood above the rectum will induce high pressure on the rectal and anal regions resulting in hemorrhoids.
Bowel or Abdominal disorders – Usage of excess laxatives leads to chronic diarrhea and constipation, which inturn will result in hemorrhoids. In general, tissue inside the anus fills with blood to aid in bowel management and if people strain to move stool, the increased pressure makes the veins in the tissues to swell and damage resulting in hemorrhoids. Another cause for diarrhea and constipation is due to the improper food habits of the people. Today people fail to identify the importance of the fiber content nutritious food and they also do not care about the surplus intake of water. So this makes them to suffer from severe abdominal disorders with strained stool removals.
Hemorrhoids is the most common condition in pregnant women during the last six months of their maternal period and also during childbirth as they strain to push the baby out can create severe hemorrhoids in them.
Improper physical activities and inadequate rest – Too much sitting, standing, walking, lifting heavy weights all these activities will increase pressure in the anal veins and if a person does not exercise regularly he will be at a higher risk of obtaining hemorrhoids. In addition insufficient sleep will also cause stress and indigestion which can source hemorrhoids.
Addiction to tobacco, smoking and alcohol: These habits will affect the bowel movements of the person by shrinking his colon and increasing the blood pressure in veins which will lead to haemorrhoid diseases.
Obesity- Overweight in people will increase pressure to the anal veins and result in hemorrhoids.
Clinical causes- If people are affected by anal infection, liver diseases, heart problems and tumors in the pelvic regions or bowel will induce pressure on abdomen resulting in hemorrhoids.
Aging – Due to aging the walls of the rectal muscles and body tissues gets weakened resulting in hemorrhoids naturally. In men the prostate problems may cause this symptom.
Hereditary factors – Some people may have occurred hemorrhoids due to the genetic or hereditary reasons. The wall of the vein is weakened by birth and it will readily obtain piles.
In addition to all the above causes personal hygiene is very essential to avoid anal itching and so we should always keep our anus clean and wash it properly after every stool. Hemorrhoids that appear during pregnancy due to some hormonal changes will mostly disappear after delivery. The overall cause for hemorrhoids is the lack of intake of proper nutritious diet and adequate water. So if a person is concerned about these two factors all the other problems will be solved automatically and he will not be in the risk to get hemorrhoids.
